Corinne Lillis grew up in Chester County – a Downingtown East grad! She was born in Maryland, so that’s where her love for the Baltimore Ravens comes from. The TV has been a passion of hers from a young age. Corinne began anchoring and producing her first newscasts in elementary school, with her very own camcorder.

WGAL News 8 has announced that Corinne Lillis has joined News 8 as the new Traffic Anchor. She will make her debut on WGAL 8 Friday, April 22. “Weather and traffic can make or break your morning,” said Meteorologist Christine Ferreira. “I’ll have the hour-by-hour forecast, and Corinne will navigate you around slow-downs, so you can make the most of your morning.”
Corinne Lillis is a Chester County native who moved to the Susquehanna Valley when she attended Millersville University to study Broadcasting. Lillis was an early graduate from the University, partly due to credits from her internship with WGAL News 8 of 2013. “Interning at WGAL was one of the main highlights of my college career,” said Ms. Lillis. “I knew then that I would love to be a permanent member of the team one day.”Corinne Lillis
After graduation, Lillis accepted a position as a host for a live morning NewsTalk Radio show in Philadelphia. Then she took a role in Atlanta where she worked as an anchor/reporter for the CBT Automotive Network. She has also interned for CBS 21 and KYW Newsradio in Philadelphia.
Lillis received a track/cross country scholarship at Millersville University, so it won’t be uncommon for you to find her running around the beautiful roads of the Susquehanna Valley in her free time. Lillis added, “I am thrilled to be a part of this community and to work along some of the best in the business.”

Corinne is the Morning Traffic Anchor & Reporter for WGAL. She started here officially Spring 2016 but actually first came to the station in the summer of 2013 as a sports intern! She has a Broadcasting Degree from Millersville University. Go, Marauders! Her first job out of college was the Host of a Morning Talk Show at a Radio Station near Philly. Missing the camera, she went south to Anchor & Report for the CBT Automotive Network in Atlanta. (Her family is happy she’s back in PA).

In her free time, she can be found baking something sweet in the kitchen with her dog by her side… an Aussie named Stark (inspired by Game of Thrones). Corinne loves to compete in Tough Mudders, watch documentaries, and travel.
