Drea Blackwell Biography
Drea Blackwell, born Andrea Blackwell is an American sports anchor who works for Hearst Television- KSBW-TV. She has also worked for several stations like SJSU-Update News, Total Traffic & Weather Network, ABC Television-KGO-TV, and Hearst Television-KSBW-TV.
She started as a sports production intern at KGO-TV in San Francisco, and as a media relations intern at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.
Since beginning her career at KSBW in 2016, Drea has covered some of the biggest sporting events on the Central Coast. From her on-field reporting of the Oakland Raiders, to her 18th hole access at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am, Central Coast news viewers turn to Drea for her unique perspective and transparent enthusiasm for all sports. When she isn’t watching her beloved 49’ers, Drea finds time to lend her talents to various community groups and organizations. She particularly has a passion for showcasing student athlete success and the coaches who guide them. Throughout the year Drea showcases Central Coast Coach’s with the KSBW Golden Whistle Award.
