Gabby Giffords “Gabrielle Dee Giffords” is an American former Arizona congresswoman, who made titles when she became the victim of an assassination effort, from which she later recovered. She was born raised in Arizona, she worked as an urban planner before winning election to the Arizona State House of Representatives in 2000. She was elected to U.S. Congress in 2005 where she was the only the third Arizona woman to do so. The Politician was the victim of an assassination attempt in 2011. She recovered in time to see her husband command the last staircase of the space shuttle Endeavor and to vote on the debt-ceiling bill, before resigning from Congress in 2012. She went on to co-found the support group Americans for Responsible Solutions.

Before She was shot she flew between her home in Tucson and work in Washington, while her husband lived and worked in Texas, (home of Johnson Space Center).
