Isra Hirsi (Isra Ahmed Hirsi) is the daughter of Ilhan Omar one of the newest members of Congress. On November 6, Isra’s mother became the first Somali American ever to be elected to the US Congress (she won the seat for Minnesota’s fifth congressional district.)

Isra is the youngest and the first Muslim American elected as the chair Minnesota High School Democrats state board.
