Interviewer: With the season premiere of Love & Hip Hop debuting next week, what should the fans expect from the hit reality show going into season 4?
Karlie Redd: What do we always have on Love & Hip Hop?!….more drama, more craziness and whatever makes it the #1 cable show on national television.
Interviewer: What kind of reception you are expecting from the fans as they get the chance to see life as Karlie Redd without Yung Joc?
Karlie Redd: Well, I’m a business woman so solely I’ve been focused on my business making better moves for myself and not messing with these broke a** rappers. Basically, I just learned my son from trying to save broke a** rappers.
Interviewer: How was your experience shooting with the legendary comedic genius Chris Rock in the movie “Top Five”?
Karlie Redd: It was a crazy working with him as a director, writer and film maker. I had a sex scene with Chris Rock and of course they used a body double. The movie was in the top three in the box office an it was a great experience working with an amazing cast consisting of Adam Sandler, Whoopi Goldberg, Jerry Seinfeld, Rosario Dawson, Gabrielle Union, Hayley Marie, Cedric The Entertainer and Kevin Hart.
Interviewer: Now it has brought to my attention that you entered in the entrepreneur business with the opening of Merci Boutique, what inspired you to venture into the world of women’s fashion?
Karlie Redd: I always been a trendsetter. Everybody always ask me, “hey what do you have on?” “What are you wearing?” “How you do that?” So I’ve always been a trendsetter so I said to myself “you know what, let me let the world know what I really have and let your everyday girl who really can’t afford to wear what J.LO is wearing”. I want to be able to appeal to the audience not just to the celebrity world. I want to cater to the everyday girl that likes to dress fly.
Interviewer: If you in the studio today about to make some new music, who are your top 5 artists you would want to work with?
Karlie Redd: Nicki Minaj, Drake, of course Lil Wayne. If Biggie was alive, I would’ve want to do something with him. Lastly, I wanna roll with my Jamaican family. You know I’m from Trinidad so Movado, Lady Saw, all those artists in Jamaica.
Interviewer: What future projects the fans should be looking for?
Karlie Redd: Well, I started a label so I’m looking for new artists and I have a distribution through Empire. So if my fans really want to be a artist in the music industry, I have a new label called Redd Entertainment. Also, I have a cosmetic line that’s going to all the stores worldwide. My cosmetic line is called KR Cosmetics. I’m about to start my own liquor line called Redd so I got some cute ventures that’s coming out that I can’t wait to show my fans
