Ravi Zacharias Early Life

Zacharias was conceived in 1946 in Madras, India. His family moved to Delhi when he was very youthful and he grew up there. His family were Anglican, yet he says that he was a nonbeliever until the age of 17 when he attempted to end it all by gulping poison. While in the medical clinic, a neighborhood Christian laborer presented to him a Bible and advised his mom to peruse to him from John 14. Zacharias says that it was John 14:19 that contacted him as the characterizing worldview: “In light of the fact that I live, you likewise will live.” He said that he figured, “This might be my solitary expectation: another method for living. Life as characterized by the Author of Life.” and that he submitted his life to Christ asking, “Jesus in the event that You are the person who gives life as it is intended to be, I need it. It would be ideal if you get me out of this medical clinic bed well, and I guarantee I will investigate every possibility in my quest for truth.”

Zacharias emigrated to Canada with his family in 1966, graduating in 1972 from the Ontario Bible College (now Tyndale University College & Seminary) with his M.Div. University of Trinity International. In 1990, at Ridley Hall in Cambridge, England, he did a two to three-month sabbatical. Ridley Hall is not part of Cambridge University, although to offer theological education it maintains a relationship with the university. Zacharias has several doctoral degrees of honor

Ravi Zacharias Quotes

“Love is a commitment that will be tested in the most vulnerable areas of spirituality, a commitment that will force you to make some very difficult choices. It is a commitment that demands that you deal with your lust, your greed, your pride, your power, your desire to control, your temper, your patience, and every area of temptation that the Bible clearly talks about. It demands the quality of commitment that Jesus demonstrates in His relationship to us.”

“We have a right to believe whatever we want, but not everything we believe is right.”

“What I believe in my heart must make sense in my mind.”

“There is no greater discovery than seeing God as the author of your destiny.”

“Yes, if truth is not undergirded by love, it makes the possessor of that truth obnoxious and the truth repulsive.”

“To sustain the belief that there is no God, atheism has to demonstrate infinite knowledge, which is tantamount to saying, “I have infinite knowledge that there is no being in existence with infinite knowledge”

“Unless I understand the Cross, I cannot understand why my commitment to what is right must be precedence over what I prefer.”

“I thank the Lord that, even though things were so wrong in my life here, I finally was brought to the realization of what all those struggles were about. There are some wonderful things from your painful past, things with a beauty you may not have realized at the time.”

“I remember the time an older man asked me when I was young, “Do you know what you are doing now?” I thought it was some kind of trick question.
Tell me,” I said.
You are building your memories,” he replied, “so make them good ones.”

“I am absolutely convinced that meaninglessness does not come from being weary of pain; meaninglessness comes from being weary of pleasure. And that is why we find ourselves emptied of meaning with our pantries still full.”

“What you applaud you encourage“Time is the brush of God, as he paints his masterpiece on the heart of humanity.”

but beware what you celebrate…”

“The four absolutes we all have in our minds: love, justice, evil, and forgiveness.”

“Teaching at best beckons us to morality, but it is not in itself efficacious. Teaching is like a mirror. It can show you if your face is dirty, but the mirror will not wash your face.”

Some evangelicals censured Zacharias’ choice not to utilize this chance to legitimately address the “profound and fundamental” contrasts between the notable Christian confidence and that of the LDS church. He reacted by affirming that Christians ought not quickly to censure Mormonism’s philosophical contrasts but rather “charitably construct slowly and carefully in discussing our confidence with clearness and conviction”. He said this is similarly as viable as demonstrating somebody the deficiencies of their confidence. The talking commitment was almost subverted by a case by occasion coordinator Greg Johnson, leader of Standing Together, that Zacharias had nothing to do with altering the book The Kingdom of the Cults and had just advanced his name to the most recent version. Ravi Zacharias Testimony

Ravi Zacharias Evolution

Zacharias does not accept evolutionary theory. He believes it is incompatible with the second thermodynamics law and expresses the fossil record’s skepticism. In addition to being a scientific ignoramus, Ravi frequently took to break the 9th Commandment to discredit his opponents. He flew under the potholer54 radar tragically and was never nominated for a coveted Golden Crocoduck award. He is also guilty of ignoring the effect of Dunning-Kruger. It is not known whether he enjoys pretending to be an expert on topics outside theology. It is also not known if Ravi deliberately realizes he is misrepresenting new atheism, science, and human sexuality, or if he hasn’t learned the arduous complicated task of doing a Google search. In his seminars, Ravi is a huge fan of using anecdotal evidence, to the point that he mysteriously forgets to use any other evidence. His incredible talent for quote mining has also left the mining industry confused about how to dig so deeply when fuelled by the desire to dig up diamonds from context. In November 2009, Zacharias signed an ecumenical statement known as the Manhattan Declaration calling on Evangelicals, Catholics, and Orthodox to engage in civil disobedience with regard to laws that the declaration claims would force them to accept abortion, same-sex marriage or other matters that go against their religious consciences. His followers are still waiting for the moment when he will join a Christian flagpole in protest against homosexual marriage

Ravi Zacharias Worldview

Zacharias says a coherent worldview must be able to answer four questions satisfactorily: the original question, the meaning of life, morality, and destiny. He says that while each major religion makes exclusive claims about truth, the ability of Christian faith to answer all four of these questions is unique. He speaks routinely about the coherence of the Christian worldview, saying that Christianity can withstand the hardest philosophical attacks. Zacharias believes the apologist must argue on three levels: the theoretical, to align the argument’s logic; the arts, to illustrate; and, to conclude and apply, “kitchen table talk.” Zacharias’ style of apologetic focuses predominantly on Christianity’s answers to life’s great existential questions, with defense of God.
